ANISODONTEA El Rayo. \nA charming, upright, semi-evergreen (evergreen in mild areas) shrub native to South Africa. \nGrowing just one to one and a half meters tall Anisodontea has many stems or branches and they are hairy to the touch. \nThe lobed leaves are highly aromatic and also have a hairy feel. \nFrom mid-summer to late autumn and sometimes even longer Anisodontea bush’s are covered with a profusion of open, saucer-shaped flowers. \nLike miniature hibiscus and measuring 3-4cms in diameter the blooms are pink with a magenta centre. \nAnisodontea prefers a sheltered sunny spot with well-drained soil but also does very well in pots and containers. \nGood plant for attracting beneficial insects to the garden, bees simply love it. \nAny pruning necessary should be done in spring. \nAll pictures used are of mature plants in bloom, they are for illustration purposes only and may not reflect the plant at all times of the year. \nOur Anisodontea plants are supplied ex. 10cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results may be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions. \nMore information on this beautiful plant visit Rosey Hardy on this . \nPACK 1 PLANT \nIMMEDIATE \n \nOur wide and varied range of Perennials can be viewed by . \nWe ask all our buyers to remember Anisodontea plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons.  Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website.
