BRUSSELS SPROUT Groninger  \nThe essential cold-weather vegetable. \nThe Brussels sprout was originally cultivated in Belgium (hence the name) from cabbages and generations of school children have been lamenting that fact ever since. \nIf they weren't so good for you, we could probably ignore them but they're packed with nutrients and when cooked properly are surprisingly tasty. \nA second early variety Groninger grows around 60-80 cm tall and is very productive with many tight, button like sprouts on the main shoot. \nGroninger makes its sprouts early in the season but it is extremely cold hardy and the crop can be harvested throughout the autumn and into the winter. \nIn common with a lot of winter vegetables the flavour improves with the first frosts of autumn. \nVery reliable, Brussels Sprout Groninger is an open-pollinated variety and produces great sweet-tasting sprouts. \nExcellent variety for freezing. \nWe believe well-cooked sprouts are a wonderful vegetable and should be served on the dinner table more often than at Christmas. \nDetailed growing instructions for Groninger are on the back of each packet \nPacket contains: 215 seeds approx. \nIMMEDIATE \n \nDesign and colouring of packets may occasionally vary. \nWe want you to be happy with your purchase and all our Brussels Sprout seed is checked and inspected visually before packing. .
