De RGB SMD ledmodule is een elektronisch component dat licht geeft in drie verschillende kleuren: rood, groen en blauw. Deze module is uitgerust met een 5050 RGB-ledchip en is speciaal ontworpen voor gebruik met Arduino-systemen. Door deze module aan te sluiten op de PWM-uitgangen van een Arduino, kan men een breed scala aan kleurencombinaties genereren. Echter, het is essentieel om weerstanden te gebruiken bij het aansluiten om de leds te beschermen. Zonder deze weerstanden kan directe aansluiting op 5V de leds beschadigen.
