How it works Mount the socket vertically and install a compatible bulb pointing downward. The builtin infrared motion sensor detects movement up to about 10 feet when mounted 8 to 10 feet above the floor and responds from any direction within its unobstructed field. Make sure the sensor faces the area you want to cover and that the room size is appropriate for the stated detection range. For daytime testing, set the LUX knob to the SUN position; otherwise the sensor may remain inactive. Recommended mounting height 8 to 10 feet. Not recommended for porch lights taller than 10 feet.
